General Description: Provides mental health care services to clients under direction and responsibility of Physician. Screens patients to determine the need for medical attention. Reviews patient records to determine health status. Performs psychological/psychiatric evaluations and assessments, and compile client medical data. Administers or orders diagnostic tests, electrocardiograms, and laboratory test results for deviations from normal. Makes determination for and handles all documentation relating to clients seeking disability evaluations. Develops and implements client management plans, records progress notes, and assists in provision of continuity of care along with treatment teams. Instructs and counsels clients regarding compliance with prescribed therapeutic regimens, normal growth and development, emotional problems of daily living, and health maintenance.
